👥 WHO WE ARE
We are Szabó András and Győrfi Zsolt.
Fishing has connected us since childhood. This shared passion not only strengthened our friendship but also gave us a common mission:
to create fly patterns and materials that truly work.
🎣 HOW BORISFLY STARTED
Fishing has always been a central part of our lives, so creating Borisfly came naturally.
We started tying flies for ourselves.
Then for friends.
Soon, more and more positive feedback followed.
That’s when we decided to take it to the next level.
🧪 TESTED IN REAL CONDITIONS
Over the years, we’ve fished in many different locations:
- 🇦🇹 Austria – Mur, Ybbs
- 🇵🇱 Poland – San, Dunajec
- 🇳🇴 Norway – mountain rivers
- 🇷🇴 Romania – rivers of the Eastern Carpathians and many more
These experiences shape every product we create.
👉 Every fly is:
- tested in real conditions
- tried on different types of water
- refined based on actual results
🏞️ WHERE WE COME FROM
We live in Romania, in the Eastern Carpathians, surrounded by countless beautiful fishing spots.
Our favorite river is the Târnava Mare, where we learned the fundamentals of fly fishing.
This river is not just a location for us—it’s where the Borisfly journey began.
🎥 SHARING KNOWLEDGE
We don’t just create products.
We also produce fly-tying videos and share them on YouTube to help other anglers improve their skills.
We believe that:
